Buttons remind me of grandmas house. Not necessarily my grandma, as I don't remember her being a big button fan, but a big box full of musty buttons strikes me as a grandma thing. I love buttons.
Anyhow, start with a couple buttons that could possibly be flowers. String them on a thin wire through the button holes, up through one set of holes, and down through another.

Then seperate them into layers, should they seem to be layered flowers, and twist the wire to keep the buttons in place, and give the wire some stability and twistyness.

Twist all the way to the bottom of the wire, finish it off at a suitable height. What's suitable? It's best to have a vase in mind, I suppose. That should make it easy to know how tall the buttony flowers should be.

Once one is finished, make it some friends. When they look nice in a tiny glass or jar, they're done.

I made some bigger ones, but I think the small black and white ones are my favorites.
